Canada Competition Opens

The Kween's competition chart.
Two lucky monsters will be able to fly with the Kween to Canada later this year thanks to a new competition.

The challenge is to see who can raise the most for the Kween's pocket money.

"I want to buy my family ice cream and maybe lunch, so I need lots of money. I thought the monsters could compete to see who could make the most through chores, helping out, that sort of thing," the Kween said.

Currently six monsters are tied with 20 cents, including Laverne Mo.

"I'd miss the Kween so much if she went without me that I have to win," she said, biting her lip and looking anxious.

"I don't really mind," Muzz von Kmart said. "I'm Core-Four, so I'll be going to Canada anyway. But it's nice to help out the Kween."

The Core-Four are the first four monsters who arrived in the Human World to live with the Kween and her family, paving the way for an additional 27 to make the journey in the past eight years.

When asked if all 31 monsters could go on the international holiday, the Kween shook her head.

"My mum says no. She said there wouldn't be room in the suitcases to bring anything back."

The competition runs for the next few months. Good luck monsters!

Kween Opens Wellness Centre

Hugging mice and hamsters eases stress.

Yesterday the great Kween Olive opened a wellness centre for monsters, aliens and other friends in her bedroom. The centre has many beds for relaxing, soft music, mint, bells and mice and cats to hug for comfort. She said the centre wasn’t only for wellness.

“We treat everything – stress, but also when people have injuries,” the Kween said.

For example, Rubi hurt herself doing yoga and needed some special lotion with fairy dust to help her muscles. She also enjoyed petting a cat, which helped when the Kween said she couldn’t do yoga for a week.

“The centre has a really nice aura,” Rubi said.

The special lotion really works. Yesterday, Muzz von Kmart got hit by a car and today he was perfectly fine.

“I was sore last night, but now I’m perfectly fine,” he said.

“He sure did fly when that car hit him. It was really cool,” said nurse and assistant Cookie Kookie. “I don’t know who was driving, if that’s what you think.”

Front desk monster Jerry said it is a nice place to work.

“The Kween is great and she always tells me how she couldn’t run the place without me. Yeah, so, you know, I’m really really important. But I don’t mind helping, because I want to go to Canada with her, so, yeah, you know... But make sure you write that I’m really important.”

The Kween has since said she can run the place without Jerry and probably not even notice much.

The Kween said she has Jethro as a massage monster and also helps some monsters with their diet, including Gus, who eats too much, particularly fried chicken, and John Kookie who eats too much sugar.

“I give them good food to eat and explain why how too much bad food affects their bodies. I’ve also got a kit with lots of things in it to help anyone who comes,” the Kween said.

If you’re feeling stressed, you miss your mum, you have an injury or you just want to hug a mouse, visit the Kween’s Wellness Clinic today. No appointments necessary.
